With just a few clicks of taps, your podcast will be up and running.

There are two ways to create a podcast: The first is, on you personal timeline. And the second is on a page. The second method is the one we recommend because it will get you a lot more exposure.

The two ways are almost identical, with a few minor differences. Let's look at them separately.

Creating a Podcast on your Personal Timeline

When you're on your personal profile page, you can click or tap either one of the items highlighted by the red arrows in this image.

Then, you will be taken to this page.

Next, click or tap the first banner which reads, Add a Podcast. Just follow the on-screen prompts, upload your audio file, and in a few seconds, this is what you will see.

This will not take long because our file upload system is lightening fast. At this point, the file has been uploaded to our servers. One of the advantages of this system is, you can listen to the audio before you decide to post it.

If you decide not to post it, and hit cancel, the process will stop and the file will be removed from our servers.

Enter a title and description, and you have posted your podcast. You will be taken to the page that hosts all of the podcasts you have uploaded.

THAT'S ALL THERE IS TO IT!

This podcast will also show up on your timeline, for all your friends to see, reply to, like and share. Posting a podcast to your personal timeline is nice, but if you really want to benefit, you should create a page for your business, and post your podcasts on this page. The advantage is, the podcasts posted on the pages created in SurfSideSafe are indexed by Google, for the whole world to see.

Adding a podcast to your page is almost identical. The only difference is in the pages where you will be taken, Now, we're going to show you how to do this on your page.

Creating a Podcast on your Page

Let's get ready to do it again! From your page profile, click or tap the box to the right of the red arrow.

And you will be taken to the page shown below. Notice that we don't recommend uploading a regular audio file on a page. Pages are for causes, exclusive topics, and for businesses wanting to make a statement.

Now, just click or tap the box that reads Add a podcast, let the sceen guide you, upload your audio file,and wait for the following to appear. But you won't be waiting very long. How about, a few seconds?

Enter a title and description, and you have posted your podcast to your page. You will be taken to the page that hosts all of the podcasts you have uploaded to your page.

This page will be indexed by Google, as well as the pages that contain each individual podcast. Just like with the personal podcast, your page podcast will also be shown on the timeline of your page for everyone to see, reply to, like and share.
