Why I Started SurfSideSafe

In 2020, I reached a breaking point with social media. It had become a place filled with noise, fake promises, endless ads, and platforms that seemed more interested in using people than connecting them. I realized that social media had strayed far away from its original purpose — Helping people build real connections and communities.

That’s when I made a personal commitment: To reclaim social media. SurfSideSafe was born out of this promise.

Karen’s Dream

SurfSideSafe didn’t just come out of nowhere. It was built on a dream — One that my late wife, Karen, and I shared.

I lost Karen to cancer, a few years before I started creating SurfSideSafe. She and I had a dream - To help the homeless.

She believed in creating something better, something safe, something real, and something that will make a difference. Revenue generated will be put in the SurfSideSafe Foundation, and hopefully, her dream will be fulfilled.

So you see, SurfSideSafe is more than a Social Media Platform - It’s a mission. As more people enjoy what we like to think of as the Ultimate Social Media Platform, we will come closer to getting a lot of homeless people off the streets.
