Gratitude: A Wonderful Gift

As human beings, we have many gifts. The most powerful is gratitude.

When we practice gratitude, we shift our focus from what is bad in our lives, to what is good. This immediately leads to increased happiness. It is definitely a game changer.

This article will explore just how important the gift of gratitude is.

Gratitude: The most underrated and powerful gift

Understanding the Power of Gratitude

Gratitude is often overlooked, but its power should never be underestimated.

When we practice gratitude, we acknowledge and appreciate the good things in our lives, no matter how big or small.

It reminds us that the little things in life are very important. A person who cannot be grateful for the little things will never appreciate the big things.

This is exactly why so many successful people hit rock bottom. The people who can't handle success are the people who don't appreciate the little things.

A powerful excercise

What I am about to show you will literally change someone's life. It will also change your life.

The next time someone performs an act of kindness for you, call them the next day.

Tell this person that you really appreciate what they did for you. More importantly, MEAN IT!

You will be awed when you see how this person reacts. Your call will make this person's day. They will never forget this, and will be your friend for life.

This is very powerful.

Practice Gratitude in your Daily Life [VERY IMPORTANT]

Whenever you are feeling down, STOP EVERYTHING! Think about nothing except the things you are grateful for.

Once you get into doing this, the baggage inside of you that is preventing you from being the person you're supposed to be will suddenly disappear.

Next, do what is about to follow.

This will be the most powerful thing you have ever done in your life. And when you see the impact it will have on your life, it will bewilder you.

Get a notebook. Write down the 10 things you are most grateful for.

If you have never done something like this, it may be a little hard at first, and only because it is something new. But here's a good place to start:

If you're alive, you have something to be grateful for.

Write down the things that matter. These are the simple things important to life that so many people seem to forget.

I have been doing this for years. It continues to change my life every day. And I would never recommend something to someone that I wouldn't do myself.

Here are some of the things that many people could write on their list:

  • I have air to breathe.
  •
  • I am healthy.
  •
  • I have food to eat.
  •
  • I have a place to sleep and a roof over my head.
  •
  • I have a wonderful family.
  •
  • I have a place I can call home.

When you do this, you will appreciate the little things. If you can't appreciate the little things, you will never appreciate the big things.

Appreciating the little things will make you humble.

And that's GOOD!

It is very important that you remember this:

When you're humble, you're strong. You're pure. You are not vulnerable. You are the person you are meant to be. No one can't take it away from you.

This will change your life. Believe me! I know! I have been doing this for years.

This allows you to appreciate the present moment and find joy in the small things.

You become more resilient in the face of challenges and setbacks.

You are able to find silver linings and lessons in difficult situations, which helps you grow and be the real person you are supposed to be.

Embracing gratitude also improves your relationships, as you become more appreciative of the people in your life and express your gratitude towards them.

The result is, creating positive change and living a fulfilling life.
