Lou Brock was one of the greatest baseball players of all time. But not just for his accomplishments on the field. Lou treated fans like old friends. He had a way of making people feel special.
Lou Brock passed away in 2020, but memories like that don't disappear.
Sometimes the greatest thing about a great athlete isn't how he played the game. It's how great a man he was.
Rest in peace, Lou. ⚾

Reply by Sammy Cannon About 10 day(s) ago No question about it. He was one of the great ones. I watched him stealing those bases many times. If I had blinked, I would have missed something.
Reply by Roger Duncan About 10 day(s) ago I've heard a new more names for Lou. Some called him "The Franchise". I've even heard people call him "Sweet Lou". They don't make players like that any more.
Reply by Charlie Mundi About 10 day(s) ago Lou was my favorite baseball player, and here's why. When I was a kid, my Dad and I went to Atlanta many times to see the Braves, and most of the time, we saw them play the Cardinals. We met Lou at the hotel the first time we saw the Cardinals, and he treated us like he'd known us for years. We talked with him for over an hour. A year later, we went to see the Cardinals play the Braves again, saw Lou at the Hotel, and he remembered us. One of the greatest baseball players ever - On and Off the field. Rest in peace, my Friend.
